We use farmers and suppliers that have the best that Yorkshire has to offer and we support smaller size producers too…and that passion for quality is reflected in the way our chefs cook your food.

Called for lunch without a booking and was seated immediately by welcoming staff. Prompt service for drinks and meals. Both our starters were flavoursome and we really enjoyed them. Our main meals were disappointing. My lasagne was not to my liking, it tasted of pork and sitting in a lot of oil. I was offered another meal on the check back but I declined. My husband’s pie was tasty but dry around the edges. Not sure we will return again.

Had both brunch and dinner here and the food is exceptional for the price would highly recommend. From when we forst entered the service was simply fantastic, drinks and food was ordered and delivered speedily. I opted for the Christmas pie which was very filling. Top marks well done team

Amazing quality food at good prices. My partner had the chicken a la creme and described it as the best meal she's ever had. I had the barnsley chop which was also fantastic. Portion sizes were surprisingly large for such good quality food, without being overwhelming. Chocolate fudge cake and a chocolate brownie with a delicious raspery sorbet finished everything off perfectly. Paid around £35 per person with two drinks each which was very good value 10/10 Highly recommended

If you’re travelling on the M1 south of Leeds and feel hungry, this is the place the go!! Forget services, you won’t regret it. It is absolutely worth the stop!! In fact it’s worth the trip to go there!! Service was brilliant from the moment we walked in; made to feel welcome and valued customers immediately. Super friendly and homely feel and quick service too. The food was truly delicious - soup of the day to start with (winter vegetables); so good I could taste every ingredient. Lamb shank next - delicious and HUGE!! Also tried the Steak and Ale pie and again, delicious and really big portion!

Came today for a birthday meal. I recommend booking a table in the festive period as it is popular for larger parties. We ordered from the main menu and the food was delicious. The pie of the day was certainly a showstopper, steak and ale cooked to perfection and what a portion!! The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the place was clean and neatly presented.
