Really nice quiet place with good food. Has well priced cocktails with 2 for 1 cocktails on most days. The food is nice and well priced, the desserts in particular are to die for and the staff are friendly and chatty. Only downside in my eyes is that it turns into a club over the weekends with bad lighting, ridiculously loud music and it is just mobbed with people.
The chicken pie was okay (mash was very nice!) but it had an excessively puffy pastry lid making it slightly difficult to eat. Service was okay, you order food and drink from the bar making it slightly difficult to split the bill. The atmosphere was okay, I wasn't a fan of the TV advertising deals within the pub. 2 for 1 cocktail deal was great and tasted good. It became more cult-like at 6PM on a Friday evening which I felt was a little early.
Hâte the restaurant name, half hour wait for a simple order. Drink was 90% ice. Very unsatisfied
I was impressed by the decor and use of space in this Slug & Lettuce. My local S&G is a bit worn out (Birmingham). Came here for a hen do, and had the best cocktail class i've been to (i've been to a few), with our awesome host Jesus (yes, that is his name). Always impressed by a good old Jäger train!
I popped in here while I was passing by for a coffee. I was really happy to find this place as it was very spacious and the environment was quite pleasant. Great for a quick stop to catch your breath or if you need to find somewhere to work for a while
