Lovely pub. Been several times. Beautiful scenery but best in winter when it's not so busy. Very cosy and friendly.
Excellent service, great quality food. I like that it's a small menu as easier to choose from. The homemade tartar sauce was out of this world. The prices are reasonable for the what you get and the portions arent skimped, they are very decent. The staff were just so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble plus its DOGGY friendly which is super.
Amazing location but some of the magic has gone. Time marches on and, whilst this is still a great pub, some of the old magic that made the Shipwrights an amazing pub has been gone missing. Maybe just washed away by the August holiday makers but maybe bring back the local fish, the quirky art, the banter, the locals and the laughs.
Wow, couldn't ask for a more stunning location for an evening meal. Everyone was welcoming, this dog and child friendly pub was great. The food was AMAZING! Pizzas were yum, the kids loved them & service was prompt and friendly.
If there was ever a hidden gem this is it. As walk over the bridge in the village and look down river you see the parasols of the shipwrights arms. No matter if you are inside surrounded by a great marine styled theme or better in the sun on the terrace. You have to see this place. Even the walk through the village and the drive in down the tiny single track roads is a must. Arguably the best hideaway pub I've ever found
