About us

The Ship Inn is tucked away in an idyllic location just a stone’s throw away from one of Ceredigion’s finest beaches, Tresaith Bay, with golden sands and a cliff-side waterfall.

Famous for it’s fantastic menu and seafood specials, The Ship also has a beachfront beer garden and terrace, as well as a car park.

The traditional bar, restaurant and seafront terrace offer stunning views of the coastline, while in the winter you can relax in front of a log fire in the cosy bar area.

Once you’ve seen Tresaith, you’ll never want to leave.

Wonderful welcome. Super friendly staff. Very relaxed environment. Such a lovely pub inside and out. Amazing sea views. The food was excellent and we commented on how we weren’t rushed and were able to enjoy our time together over a lovely, long lunch. I can recommend the vegetarian pie and mash on a rainy, wild weather day. A gem of a coastal pub.

Always a beautiful view but also great food. We recently had Sunday lunch at the Ship and it was fabulous! I had the veggie option and my husband had the pork. It was delicious, well cooked and the service was friendly and professional. Also, the pub was gorgeously decorated with a lovely fire in the bar, Christmas tree and stylish decorations. We were served by Hayley and she was so nice. Also, compliments to Vince the chef. Top notch!

Had high hopes having read the reviews and a recommendation from a friend. Sadly, it did not meet expectations. Every person that walked through the door was seated in the conservatory/annexe, all crammed in like sardines despite there being plenty of room inside the pub. The conservatory/annexe was dusty and dirty, definitely in need of a good clean! We ordered 2 fish and chips and a children's chicken nugget meal. They all arrived promptly but sadly there was no tartare sauce so this was substituted with a garlic dip, the fish was watery and tasteless and the chips appeared to be frozen and were not very nice at all. The children's meal was OK but nothing special but we didn't expect it to be. The ONLY positive thing I can say is, the service was fantastic, especially as we only saw 1 member of staff delivering orders. Lovely young lady, hence the 5 stars.

Great atmosphere, great location. Plenty of options on the menu. Was able to eat here as a family due to the availability of vegan options. Very friendly and accommodating staff, great food
