Amazing breakfast at a fablious price. Lovely cozy room warm and friendly staff. Happily book there again.

Food: We cannot complain in the slightest about the food. It was top quality, very well priced and the portion sizes were insane! 4 of us had dinner the first night and then 2 of us had breakfast the next morning. I wish we had somewhere local to us that did food like this as it was truly lovely and especially with how busy it was being the Christmas period. Accomodation: This was such a let down. The smell on the corridor on entering was odd. The bed made a lot of noise, the room was small where you had to be careful walking around, the shower was hard to get in and out of, there's a rusty toilet roll holder and it just felt incredibly dated. The noise was a lot but being above a pub we expected this - what we didn't expect was in the morning at 07:30 was to hear the employees blasting music whilst completing their work. Someone must have been living on the corridor also in one of the rooms as there were pictures and people kept coming in and out of the accommodation a LOT of all different hours making quite a bit of noise. Car park: The car park isn't maintained at all. There is pot holes everywhere so you have to drive in carefully. With how good the food was, it was such a let down with the room.
My wife and I met up for lunch with 4 members of the family. We all enjoyed our meals . In fact, we stayed chatting for over 3 hours, not rushed and finished off with coffee's enjoyed so much we will be there again next month
I booked a room but I didn't stay I handed the keys back and booked myself a Premier Inn instead. The room was directly above the bar so it was incredibly noisy I could actually hear the conversations very clearly from my room. And as I had to be up early in the morning for a charity golf day I knew I wasn't going to get an early night as it was far too loud. The staff were really friendly and helpful though.
