Pleasant family pub, serving good quality hot food daily
Stopped in with the dog for a quick rest after a walk. Only people in and just very uncomfortable atmosphere. Place is very dated and the whole exchange of getting two cans of pepsi was just awkward and uncomfortable. We drank up as quick as we could and left.
A traditional pub with character well suited to the nautical location run by a traditional landlady who is hopefully about to enjoy a long well earned retirement ! Unfortunately no real ale. No doubt it's wishful thinking that the new owners/tenants won't alter it too much to become anywhere pub !
Popped in just before 12 noon for food. Was greeted by a smell of second hand cigarette smoke that was covered up by sented candles. When asking about the food menu an unfriendly woman who was behind the bar gave the impression that she was offended that I was asking about food. The atmosphere was cold and felt unwelcome. Needless to say we promptly left. Wouldn't recommend this place.
Not one to normally leave reviews, but this was the most uncomfortable 5 minutes of my existence. Honestly felt like I had just walked into a strangest living room and demanded a Coke out of their own fridge. There was nobody else in the pub and as we sat there drinking our drinks, We were just giving dirty looks. Couldn't have gotten out of there fast enough. I'd suggest just walk in an extra few minutes to get to ANY other pub.
Friendly pub, fair prices, doesn't accept card payment.
