This is a good old fashioned "boozer". The Brand range is not extensive but sells the local Okells cask ale. Pool room and dart board along with racing on tv. The pub is renowned locally for its "Saddle-oake!"

The surroundings are warm and inviting and the welcome is heartfelt. As the name suggests this is a pub with strong horse racing ties and Racing UK can often be found on the television.

Arrived at 8.50 last Wednesday to be told they were closing because they had no draught beer! Found this very surprising considering they were not open the day before, one would imagine they'd make sure they were fully stocked. Think this was just an excuse cos the barman wanted the night off!
