The Royal Standard is situated in Wooburn Common near High Wycombe. If you are looking for traditional ales and good home-cooked pub food, then you have come to the right place!.
Lovely building food basic pub grub as it was 20 years ago all food fresh from the freezer. The premises were very clean but a little cramped in dining area. Lots of parking.
Lovely traditional pub, great menu. Log fire was roaring.
Visited with a group of people. (24) service was excellent, a varied menu and the bread and butter pudding was to die for. All food was well presented.
This is how a pub should be. This is like waking into a pub 20 years ago without the smoke but with all of the atmosphere and frivolity it used to have. There aren’t many places like this left and we treasure this place and the decor although clean and tidy is like the old days. That’s a good thing. Staff are always so friendly and the food is good value and served quickly. There are no frills to this place but there doesn’t need to be. A fabulous place for a bite to eat, a catch up and a nice drink. The wood burning stove was lit tonight and was just perfect as the weather had turned cold today. Various tables of various sizes chatting about their week with vigour. Thank you for never changing and the warm hug you get when you arrive 💋💋💋
Fantastic cosy rural pub, visited lots of times over the years, all staff are exceptionally friendly and accomodating, food is home cooked to a high standard, great arrange of beers and ciders, good out side seating area, also a hut on the side, dogs welcome, nice oldey worldy inside with beams, a must visit
