Visited January 24. Reopened under new owners on Xmas eve. Drinks only at the moment but food to follow shortly (once the leaky roof repairs are finished!). Really nice couple and a lovely pub. Deserves to do well as the area needs another pub. Very dog friendly. Pop in and show your support.
Had a group of 8, all had a pie or roast and we loved the food! The espresso machine didn’t work when we were there so we didn’t have any unfortunately It’s a dog friendly place and there were a few dogs about Good parking space which was great Bit confused about the pies and the fact that they come with mash potato but you can change them to fries? Wasn’t that clear on the menu
Lovely village pub. Massively dog friendly. Waitress was so friendly and made a fuss of us and our dogs. Food was really fresh and great portion sizes but above all tasty. Great use of seasonal foods. It was a busy night for a Monday and in Covid-19 times meant the staff had a lot to do with running the bar/food orders and up and down the stairs to deliver service. Did really well to manage it all so successfully.
For the third time we have had a better than average evening meal. The food really is top nosh, I had belly pork with all the trimmings. Good beers and ales too. Staff are friendly and under the circumstances are respectful of your space. Plenty of room between tables.
We were led to this place by a sign on the side of the road. A great find. The food was cooked to high standard and the ingredients are very fresh. My steak was delicious and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his lamb shank. My son ordered the Cumberland sausage, which he polished off with no help. My daughteris liked her fish and chips. Food sat comfortably in our stomach. Pets and kids friendly. Staff were very friendly. The price is reasonable.
