Gents in Bar are like a small Portable Toilet Cabin placed in quite a large pub.,for a carvery I expect better facilities.
Went for a Sunday lunch carvery. Lovely spot up on Babbacombe Downs looking out over the sea. Service was good. There was a good selection of tasty veg to go with a plentiful supply of well-cooked meat. Personally, I prefer crisper parsnips, but it was all good and a nice atmosphere.
A star for the lovely service andanitger star for delicious side salad. The rest of the food dreadful, insulting they served it. Could be described as bargain bucket from Iceland... We won't be back for another 5 years... Sad lost opportunity for this location
Visited for Sunday carvery. Food as always hot and plenty of variety of vegetables. Unfortunately roast potatoes & parsnips not crispy after sitting under warming lights. Also, baby potatoes undercooked so will not be selected next visit. The rest of the food wonderful. Staff appeared to be hanging around with 5 of them at one point in one location seemingly with nothing to do. Could use time more effectively, proactiveness works best in a busy restaurant lunch service!
Somebody here knows what they are doing.. Carvery is always difficult to master, however this was really good. As always, the sprouts were a little mushy, but the rest really was spot on. Service was excellent and all the staff friendly and well trained up. Dessert was also excellent.. The dining area was clean and tidy and modern..
