The Chase is a local hotel for me, they do a great Sunday carvery, I’ve been to a few functions there and the food and service is always excellent. It’s not a stuffy hotel, there is always a good atmosphere, it would be improved though if only they did a real ale in the bar. For guests that stay it is a great location, easy to get to on the A30 and Shaftesbury is a charming town, the home of Gold Hill.

One night business stay on 3.12.23. Found the hotel to be excellent. Modern room and bathroom. Lovely large comfortable bed, excellent food and beer. Friendly staff. Could not fault and would not hesitate to stay there again. Thank you

Amazing hotel compared to travelodge. I work nationwide and used to travelodge for a night away....never again. Dated building from the outside but don't let that fool you, enter and feel at home with a warm and cosy environment, also friendly and inviting staff. Had an included breakfast and chose from the menu a Full English, see pics...it was delicious, compliments to the chef and the the waitress who was lovely. Can't fault my stay, thanks to the team that make this a great place to rest your head.

Stayed for two weeks for work. The first room was very small with a lot of dust and wall paper coming away from the walls, it was very dark in the rooms even with the lights on and could do with a repaint. The second room was much larger with a bigger shower, again a bit dark. The food is very good and the service was brilliant. Everyone seemed friendly. The restaurant isn't open on a Sunday evening, so if your driving up on a Sunday I'd eat before hand as the local shop is also closed after 4.

Stayed here for business. The place could do with a lick of paint to freshen it up and maybe some more modern décor to bring it up to date but as a whole for a two night stay it was not bad. The room was nice and spacious, the breakfast was good and the staff were helpful. I had accidently left my room key in the room and they had no issue sorting another for me. The bar is good, pints are on the pricier side but that's expected at a hotel bar. Overall a good stay and would stay again if I was in the area.
