Attented a networking breakfast at this hotel, found the breakfast/meeting room to be beautiful with period features and set out well with inviting options for food, hot and cold drinks. Staff were very helpful. Lots of space to park. Enjoyed the meeting.

My partner and I had an amazing stay here. The food was absolutely delicious, home cooked and all sourced locally which I thought was fabulous. Sue and Andy couldn’t of been nicer hosts. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfy. Thanks for the great stay. We will be back .. oh and make sure you order a hot chocolate in the bar … absolutely delicious.

Really nice hotel, tucked away nicely in the south downs. Comfortable, clean, and great food, though the service was a bit on the ropey side. Felt the staff were in constant training. Would have been nice if the young staff could be encouraged to speak more with the guests,, hopefully this will develop. Pints of Guinness could have been poured better, and after two attempts, they got the Irish coffee right. Will be back.

Myself and my partner stayed here for a birthday get away and we couldn't have picked a better hotel, You could not fault the service as the staff could not have been more polite, accommodating and helpful, our room was beautiful and peaceful. We had our evening meal, which was for my birthday in their restaurant, the food and service was splendid, staff were ever so friendly and the food was amazing. We opted for the cooked breakfast which was an addition as continental is included in the price and again the food was cooked to perfection. Definitely a hotel to choose if you like a quality break away and we will see ourselves coming back again and again, also dining in the restaurant should we just wish to have a meal out of an evening.

A very old building with a quirky layout, but it has a charm that you cannot ignore. The hosts are very welcoming and knowledgeable, only too pleased to answer any queries. They have made the best of the rooms in what I can imagine was not easy in a place that old. They are acceptable, having most things you would require if not quite 5 star.
