Love the Roebuck but food has gone down hill in recent times. Chips were not good, pub chips were cheap french fries, pepper corn sauce with an already expensive steak was 4 quid extra and not up to par. The batter on the fish was bland and the mashed potato too. Went with a group of 4 and everyone had something they thought was worse than before. 4 stars because I just want to give the feedback on the food but the atmosphere and serving staff were hard working and attentive!
What a little gem! Popped into the Roebuck for dinner on the way home from a walk in the Peak District and what a good choice we made! Delicious food, excellent friendly service, and a nice atmosphere. I’d definitely return if I was on the area again.
It was lovely. Great service and friendly staff. Wasnt busy when we went. New menu and price changes, good selection of beers ciders lagers and spirits, as well as lots of soft drinks
Great old pub with friendly staff, good food and a great variety of cask beers from titanic.
Visiting my brother in Leek. We popped in after finding out that they have real ales and a 5* food hygiene rating. We tried the Plum Porter which was nice. We decided to look at the menu and ordered the Steak Pie for myself and the Fish and Chips for my Brother. The Steak Pie is the best i've tasted in a long time, nice and rich! I would've prefered mash instead of chips. My brother said the Fish and Chips were nice and light. We both would dine there again.
