The Rock, as the name suggests, is located by the sea in Weymouth. This contemporary venue has different areas - a bar, dining room, a small snug to the back and a conservatory. All is bright and airy with a neutral, modern colour scheme. There is mixed seating, including sofas and coffee tables in the bar. With free wi-fi access this is a popular place to come and sort out some internet work over a cup of coffee or just enjoy a drink with friends or colleagues. Restaurant style food is served at pub prices. We are proud of the fact that we source as much produce locally as possible and all is freshly prepared and cooked to order. Our signature dish is the ‘Rock Pot’, a dish ideal for two to share - a mixture of succulent seafood. There is also an excellent Sunday lunch with a choice of usually three fresh roasts and traditional accompaniments which are all homemade - even down to the gravy! A good party atmosphere develops at the weekends with live entertainment on offer and there is also a weekly quiz on a Tuesday. Oh how this has deteriorated. Will not visit again. Poor menu. Asked for cider and got a fancy one with some fruit juice I. I was not asked if that was what I wanted which I didn't. Owner/daughter/staff sat out in garden area smoking and using their phones, I felt they had little concern for customers.
Just had a delicious hot carvery for 16 people for my sons 21st birthday. Staff friendly. Couldnt fault any of it. Will definately be back. Dog friendly too. 5 star!!!x
Went in for Sunday lunch with the better half...and had possibly the best Sunday carvery....ever.... great service, great setting, great live entertainment......and more food than anywhere I've been... thank you very much Larry.....I'm off to enjoy the carvery induced food coma!
Went on Saturday 18th July2015. Only 4 of us in our party which we had booked the day before. On arrival were told that there would be a 45 minute wait for our food because a stag party of about 20 had booked at the last minute. Took our seats then proceeded to wait a further 20 minutes without anyone taking an order. Service was therefore extremely bad. The place was extremely dirty with the table being sticky to the touch and the windows haven`t been cleaned for months. perhaps not eating was a blessing in disguise!
We booked a family meal for my mothers 80th birthday, the staff were extremely accommodating having set up 2 separate tables, 1 in the main area and 1 in the back room allowing us to chose the most suitable area. The food was great all served at the same time, the staff were very good and we could not fault the service. we would definitely recommend this pub.

The Admiral Hardy is situated on the Chickerell Road, Weymouth. We are a friendly local pub, great for Sky Sports with a big screen and four televisions around the bar, plus a top atmosphere when the live sport is on.
