Food wasn’t great glasses were dirty pasta tasted like mouldy water but they did replace it with chicken nuggets and chip and gave the kids free iced cream one of my daughters had a baskets meal with chicken tikka and chips the tikka sauce was so oily she just ate the chips round it we had mushroom in garlic sauce which were nice but it was sat on a thin piece of toast like a cheap slice of bread but tasted ok just not what you expect.I had steak pie with chips well I ordered it with chip but came with mash. Mash wasn’t very nice cold in the middle and had a very funky taste the veg was carrot that were lovely peas were ok and white cabbage which was brown. The pie was lovely the pastry was very nice the meat was nice but the gravy in the pie was like water. The gravy in jug was very thick lumpy but the pie was nice my husband had fish and chips his were lovely homemade chips and hand battled fish, the fish was haddock. The owners couldn’t do enough for us. When we told them about the pasta they asked us if we wanted to replace it with no charge. It’s definitely one the places to go for customers service. We maybe went on a bad day.
Friendly and obliging staff, the drinks selection is good and the food menu has all the home made favourites and vegos are covered. The Sunday roast is very well priced and your plate is nice and full when it arrives. Worth a visit to eat and watch the world go by. Thank you for making our lunch delightful.
Rainy Sunday, just passing but hungry, so why not try it. Place is a little dated and decor or style are not strong points. It was Sunday so they were only doing carvery. Small ( not small ) was about £8.50 and regular was about £11. Plus they did puddings. Food was home cooked and fresh and delicious. Meat was lovely and the veg was too, not mushy or dried up. We can't comment on drinks as we all had J2o's. Would we go again? YES.
Away on holiday and looking for somewhere to eat and found The Robin Hood. Food was nice nothing flash and the member of staff working was lovely.
We decided to sit outside and to say its next to the road its reasonably quiet. We ordered the sunday roast chicken, on the menu it says all roasts come with listed veg, yorkshire, roast potatoes and more, the waitress (after asking where the missing food was) let us know the chicken doesnt come with carrots, yorkshire or roast potatoes, even though its £1 more then some others and tge menu clearly says it does. Even though we had missing food the quality, oresentation and taste was brilliant. Would definitely recommend.
