Part of an attractive row of stone cottages, the Roaring Donkey in Swindon is a real community pub and a traditional back street local with an unusual name.
As you step inside the pub, you’ll immediately notice the small wood-panelled bar on the right along with our unmistakeable warm, friendly atmosphere.
Behind the bar, we serve a fine selection of real ales and lagers, with comfortable indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy your drink, along with a separate function room for parties, birthdays and functions.
Open Wednesday to Sunday, 5pm to midnight on Wednesdays and Thursdays and 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, open 1pm to 11.30pm on Sundays.

Great place for a beer. Good crowd.
Out on a christmas party, ended up here for drinks as we weren't prepared to wait in a queue at other venues. You cant match the atmosphere of an ole school pub! Dont change!
Went in for drinks & the great jukebox. Staff very friendly & welcoming, despite it being a busy Friday night. Ended up staying til closing time totally unplanned.
Wow! £8 for a pint of lager and a half of cider in an old fashioned dump!! Someone is taking the michael.... no money spent on this place in years. Best avoid, lots of cheaper nicer offerings only a minute or two away!!!
It's a pub just a pub, a pub with a great atmosphere. just a quiet drink with no fuss. To have fun and laughter in, it's a proper pub no bells and whistles. Go and be merry and enjoy a great British pub. Enjoy.
