Sunday 21st January I really enjoyed my first Sunday roast here this weekend 😋 Overall it was a really lovely experience and I shall definitely be visiting again in the near future. However that being said, we each ordered the Trio roast which came with all the traditional trimmings as expected but was barely luke warm and the roast potatoes were slightly undercooked. It was presented well though and the portions were more than adequate for the price. We each ordered a glass of Pinot Noir which unfortunately had to be sent back as it was rather acidic. We ordered a replacement of Merlot which again unfortunately was only slightly better and one glass had a lipstick print which was very off putting. I then rounded off with the Apple and Damson crumble with custard which was perfect. Served hot and again of an ample portion for the price. Had these issues not occurred I would say it was a wonderful lunch. It was delivered with great service and humorous enthusiasm by the delightful Sam who is truly an asset to the team. Thanks Sam 😊 I would also like to take this opportunity to mention another server called Alison who although was very busy, took the time to stop by our table for a warm and welcoming chat making the overall experience a happy one. Thanks Alison 😊 The layout of the entire venue is a labyrinth of nooks and crannies which adds to the charming warmth and cosiness of the place and covers two floors. There are also private dining areas ideal for meetings and celebratory gatherings. The option to dine outside in the garden area is an absolute gem of an experience right in the heart of Gloucester Green. The seating, lighting, heating, decor and spacious pockets of privacy provides beautifully shielded areas for the ultimate alfresco social environment. See you again soon!
Really nice family Birthday dinner here last night. Food was awesome and service was really good. Definitely would come back. I have Squid starter and sea bass for main. Also had the cookie for dessert. It was really nice and everyone enjoyed their meals.
I went there for a Sunday Roast with five other people. I was welcomed by someone at the entrance, which was very friendly, and found a place to my seat. The atmosphere was lovely, I loved the decorations, and they have a great selection of food on the menu. About the food, it was delicious and I enjoyed it until the last bite. Def, I recommend it 👌
Great atmosphere and tasty food! I had a festive menu, everything was so delicious! Cocktails are very good as well, and I felt in love with the decorations 😍 Highly recommended 💥 Thank you for great experience ❤
Looks like "just a pub" (not a bad thing!) from outside but lovely and warm inside with a gastro menu. We had a table starter of mozarella balls and a soup starter, followed by the dirty burgers. Amazing burgers with a delicious beef dripping sauce on the side which was to die for. Lively atmosphere but not too noisy. One of the bar staff was the politest barman I wver met, although they were understaffed so there was a bit of a queue, but it moved fast and the staff were all helpful and polite. Had the pleasure of witnessing an office party hook-up AND a celeb appearance, as it's close proximity to the theatre. Would come again!
