We were turned away as this is NOT a dog friendly pub unfortunately, but they did let me use the toilet so hence the 2 stars rather than 1.
Our family had a hot/cold buffet for our mums 90th birthday! The food was excellent! The room was cosy and warm! Nothing was too much trouble for June and Malcolm so welcoming!! Highly recommended!!!
Stumbled across this pub after taking a detour(lost),I recieved a very friendly welcome in this fine example of a country pub .A plated sunday lunch was on offer and it smelled and looked delicious but I only had time for a pint which was excellent .The pub was very clean and tidy and looked how a country pub should, also has a large car park
Lovely traditional country pub with great food and beer. The landlord and landlady are really nice and helpful.
What a find! Do not pass The Red Lion by! Fantastic friendly welcome for the 3 of us, on the way back from Cadbury World. The home cooked food was amazing - gammon dinner, steak and chips and kids omelette. Great conversation and clearly loved by locals and passing folk alike. If/when we are near, we will return without a doubt - Malcolm's 30 year Chicken Madras secret recipe needs to be sampled!
