Lovely little community bar with a brilliant range of beer on tap and in the fridge. Pretty good value for good craft beer too
The BEST beer cafe in south manchester. Excellent and knowledgable staff. Eclectic and wonderful regulars. Superb beer selections. Now with 2 lagers and some excellent ciders and wines. If you visit Didsbury or Burnage you should ensure you add R2BC to your itinerary.
I always try and be positive when visiting new pubs and bars but on this occasion there are some negatives,The beer itself was excellent, no complaints there , music was top notch and the chap behind the bar was friendly, but my biggest bone of contention (particularly in a micropub ) is access to the bar which in this case was about 12 inches at one end , as all the regulars sat at the bar making access practically impossible, they clearly had no intention of moving either , the ironic thing was the tables were empty!!… something to look at perhaps ???
Seemed like an OK place to stop off for a drink, but we were almost financially embarrassed as the drinks we ordered were placed on the bar and, as I handed over the money, were told they only accepted card payments. I didn't have one on me,but very fortunately, my partner did. Be warned. Nice beer though.
Lovely comfortable bar with a very good range of ales. Pleased to see that there was a mild available which was excellent. Unfortunately though you can't pay with cash! We've never been anywhere that doesn't take the country's currency for a couple of beers. Fortunately we did happen to have a credit card on us but that isn't usually the case. Couldn't even get a receipt unless it was emailed. Just had the one drink and left and it will sadly put us off retuning.
