The Punch Bowl is one of a dwindling breed of pubs that still lies at the heart of the community it serves. A menu of homemade, hand cooked food is on offer and I never tire of passing compliments onto Chef in the kitchen from customers who keep coming back and trying something new. I also stock a wide range of drinks including plenty of alcohol free options.
As a father of four myself, it will come as no surprise to you to learn that families are welcome in the restaurant and in the bar until 9pm and that our extensive menu includes healthy homemade options for both young and old.
Situated on what is still known as Holyhead Road it is amazing to think that what was once one of the major trunk roads in Britain passed through our peaceful village! Thankfully the A5 now by-passes West Felton so you may need to set your “Sat-Nav” to find us at SY11 4EH but it’s ok, there’s plenty of car parking space once you get here.

It’s worth watching in order to hear about the EXTRA special evenings that I throw in from time to time. In August ’09 I hosted a “Wet Fish Night” in association with one of my main suppliers (we’re rather good at fish here!) and over 60 people had what they described as “one of the nicest evenings out we’ve had in a long time, a sensational meal and a lovely atmosphere”.
Guess what? That’s the same thing I hear repeatedly from my regular customers too. Whether you’d like to become one of them or just call in occasionally to celebrate your special occasions you will always be extended the warmest of welcomes.

Actually ended up having a meal here the times during a recent visit staying in West Felton. It is a locals pub, but we were always made to feel welcome. There was only a limited bar meal menu available when we visited, however the food was of good quality and excellent value for money and would be happy to pop back in if in the area again.
Great food and great service! Made a booking ahead of time and everything was perfect. Lovely staff here, the waitress is very kind and attentive, barman is friendly and brilliant at making drinks, and the chef makes good food and very tasty pudding! 5☆
