This is our local Harvester restaurant so I would say we go quite often. Always greeted at the door and staff are friendly. Food is always hot and tasty. Service can sometimes be a little slow if they are busy but generally good. Sometimes the bread and salad bar need replenishing and you have to ask staff to do it but apart from that it's worth a visit.
We arrived for our table that we clearly booked. It wasn’t that busy but had to stand by a cold doorway until someone came to us but saw staff just standing around. We were sat in a warm area after asking staff to not sit us in the draughty door area. We ordered off the Christmas menu. Starters were just about warm, drinks came eventually after a long wait! I had the ribs with cranberry glaze which was under cooked and pink which made me feel sick. I sent this back straight away. The fries were cold on my wife’s meal but we were still charged for this. Very unsatisfactory in my experience here. They did knock the ribs off the bill but still charged me for the prawn starter which came with sauce I asked not to put on and cold fries on my wife’s meal. This was a birthday meal which was totally ruined in my mind. The 2 ladies sat next to us also complained about their meals and left half of their meals and just walked out. I spent £49 and feel I was ripped off as I ate nothing!!!
Great meal at a very reasonable price. We had the chicken skewers with dirty fries, vegan burger with vegan dirty fries both excellent. The service was outstanding, our server Jodie making recommendations with a warm and friendly smile and very attentive. An all round enjoyable experience
Chips were cold, and chicken and bacon were overcooked cooked on main courses. Fish was soggy. Drinks, salad and starter were fine and service was good. Just need to get rid of thd chef.
My wife and I visited here for something to eat after a shopping trip and what a good choice it was, the staff were very friendly and welcoming especially Jessica the young lady that served us, she was very friendly and helpful. The food was beautiful and piping hot which is always a thumbs up from me, also I liked the fact you can help yourself from the salad bar. To some it up, very very nice and somewhere we both said we will visit again 👍
