This one felt like a hidden gem. Beautiful little pub that served some delicious food. Staff and atmosphere were great and the prices were very reasonable. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
Excellent pub. Friendly people who run it and two of the biggest dogs I've ever seen. Lovely animals great food and a new pie on the menu which my husband said was spot on! I had the cheese and onion one which was fabulous. Will definitely go again.
The best aspect of the Parks Inn has to be the staff. They are all so lovely, accommodating, and friendly. The restaurant has a proper family atmosphere which is lovely to see! The owners introduced myself and my partner to the two 'pub dogs', Barney and Luca. The dogs are truly gentle giants, and are so friendly further adding to the lovely atmosphere. The decor in the restaurant was very nice. It has a combination of traditional pub decor with a modern twist. Very tasteful and lovely. To top this off the food was INCREDIBLE! I had the Cheese and Onion Pie whilst my boyfriend had a steak. The chips are so fresh, and delicious, and the pie was one of the BEST pies I've ever had! The staff in the kitchen are truly skilled! Thank you for such a great experience. We'll definitely be back (for the food, the staff, and most importantly Luca and Barney)! :))
Myself and my partner visited here for the first time on Friday. It was very friendly and welcoming , and dog friendly which was a bonus! Everywhere was clean and the outside tables were clean and tidy too.The staff were really attentive and really helpful. I ordered the minty lamb pie which was out of this world, the flavour was spot on and the amount of lamb in the pie !! The chips were delicious and the veg cooked perfectly with a small pot of gravy to top it off! My partner had the bacon and cheese burger with chips and salad which was also delicious, everything was so fresh! The lovely staff members who served us were so friendly ! We will definitely be visiting again . Its our new favourite ! Would highly recommend a visit if your in the area!
I found this place through Google review search. We arrived and was told they could not accommodate 4 of us inside. A very helpful lady sorted us out with a nice table right in the centre of the pub. We ordered and waited for a short time . We were not prepared for the portion size, we had fish, pie and chips, sausage and mash and the half rack of ribs. The ribs I swear came of the biggest pig in the peak District. Every thing was fresh hot and tasteful. It was amazing, I would not drive past this place. It is the real deal. After a day on the peaks this is the place for amazing atmosphere great fresh local tasteful food.
