My partner and I had a lovely meal here last night. Service was great, the roaring fire was welcomed on a winters evening. Extensive Gluten Free options available. Dog friendly too. Hghly recommended. Booking recommended.

Absolutely loved our lunch with you yesterday. Perfect country pub ambiance. Roaring log fire. Dogs everywhere!! Lovely staff And delicious fresh food cooked perfectly to order with top quality ingredients. Loved every minute of it. Spoke to people in Monmouth and Wollaston. Your reputation is spreading. We will be back

Absolutely lovely village pub, serving excellent freshly prepared food which was delicious. There is a good selection of drinks on offer as well, all served by lovely smiling staff. Go there if you can. You will not be disappointed.

Very lovely small and very old pub. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was ok but nothing special

TASTY FOOD ALTHOUGH A TAD OVERPRICED. The pub tries to be posher than it is and the description of the food on the menu is rather pretentious. The carpets in the pub definitely need deep cleaning as do the tables. It all felt a bit grubby. The wooden table we sat at in the bar area near the window had lots of crumbs and debris stuck between the wooden panels as per the photograph which was rather off-putting but given that we had already ordered our meal by this point we stuck with it. The sausage & mash and the chicken wrapped in bacon were very hot and tasty as were the veg. We pointed out the dirty table to one of the bar staff when she came to clear the table but she appeared uninterested and made no apologies for it. She just stared at us and walked away..... The pub is dog friendly but beware the landlord's dog is tethered to a lead by the entrance to the bar area causing a potential trip hazard as you enter the room and possibly a dog fight if your dog doesn't enjoy unwelcome face to face contact.
