Great food and service. Coped really well with our very large party at lunchtime. All our food was served together and was piping hot. Really good value too.
If you want a good old authentic dining pub experience then go on a Friday evening and dine in style with the young farmers effing and jeffing and boasting of their sloppy seconds on a girl whilst chuffing merrily away on their electronic cigarettes. It created the perfect ambience The waitress was lovely though and the food was ok. Cheese pie was over done and was as hard as a pork pie . If you want a sweet and sour dish, then go for the Veg thai green curry. Couldn't get near the bar as every local man and his dog were propping it up. Nice real ale though. Sorry.
Great food great service and not over busy would definitely go back great freindly staff
It was pretty quiet when we called but people were having meals and the vibe was friendly and relaxed. There is some outside seating and plenty of parking spaces. Worth calling in if you are passing. We didn't try the food.
Cannot comment on food as I was just calling in after a mission to an angling tackle shop. Great selection of beers, super atmosphere, and a warm Welcome Currently on a break in the heat of the day. After visiting Coppul Anglers for tackle supplies and some maggots for when the grandson comes visiting at Heskin Old Hall fishery Thursday. Could not pass the ‘Original Farmers Arms’ as I needed change for all the honesty boxes on this A49 tour (now calling it part 1 as there is so much to cover). Whilst refreshing myself I asked ‘why is it called the ‘Original’? Answer was ‘because it is the original one in the village’ It is good to be ‘ome 😅
