A great place to meet. Food is great. Do check opening hours. But it's worth a visit. Their breakfasts are great, and so too are the Nachos
A lovely bar in the heart of Bickington. Great for the family or a night out. They always are trying to do things for charity. Last night was bingo night for a children's hospice, how lovely. They also have karaoke nights. Bar staff warm and welcoming. Locals are friendly. The food here is traditional and homemade. Sometimes busy and sometimes quiet but a recommended bar.
Myself and my partner booked a table to come and have a carvery this afternoon. Neither of us liked the roast, it tasted bland and there was no flavour in any of it whatsoever! I ordered a nut roast and even that wasn’t that nice, I left half of my dinner as I couldn’t eat it because it was just tasteless. We told the barman when we went to pay the bill and he offered us a free dessert but we declined. Very disappointed and won’t be going back there again, won’t recommend sorry.
We came in for lunch and to attend a family fun day with games etc for the kids. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating, the kids really enjoyed the games. The food was lovely, I had hunters chicken which was a huge portion and delicious. My husband had the special burger which, again, was a nice big portion and really tasty. The kids enjoyed their chicken nuggets and chips. We will definitely be back for dinner again soon!
Very nice , only thing was the wait when there were empty tables . But the grub was ok and still warm . I think that the small , medium and large is a bit silly as it's only the meat that makes the difference in price . And you would like to think that you could get family rates . But sadly not the case . So will I go bk ???yes if I was near there and feeling hungry. But wouldn't go for an arranged meal . As there are many more places just as good if not a little better . But give it a goo.
