2 of us popped into this pub for a bite to eat around 1400 yesterday (Saturday). Asked the waitress/barmaid to look at a food menu but was told that they were no longer serving food, in a fairly short manner. Wouldn’t normally be too fussed about this but then noticed the waitress take orders from a few other tables immediately after - disappointing. Edit - staffing numbers weren’t communicated at all. So we didn’t know about the kitchen situation, therefore reviewed on the single interaction..

A pub, in my head, has to be warm, welcoming and cozy. This one is all of the above and the food is very good.

Friendly efficient staff. Good pub grub -nothing fancy mind. Great atmosphere. Gorgeous outdoor area in warmer months, with incredible hanging baskets. Ale clean, & looked after well.

Just been to the Oak and Saw for the wife's birthday lunch. Warm friendly welcome on arrival. Great food, went for the roast beef which was served with a huge Yorkshire pudding. They have a great selection of ales at the bar which is perfect for me. The staff were attentive throughout our visit and made us feel valued as customers. Make sure you try the sticky toffee pudding. Delicious. Will be back soon Thank you.

Popped in randomly while getting car repaired down the road. Lovely setting, staff and food. Garden area has really nice flowers. Will definitely return.
