We were a party of 20 and pretty much every meal was burnt and or overcooked. Pretty disappointing really. The staff were really apologetic though which saved this from being a 1 star review. Refunds were offered so that was good of them.
The only part of the dinner that I can’t complain about was the salt and pepper I added myself. The sweet corn was fine but even that was a substitute for red cabbage which I was never told about in advance. I had to take a picture of the worst roast potato I’ve seen in my life. It was brown and soggy - I don’t even know how you can make a potato look like this. Like it was roasted then boiled in brown water. The whole dinner looked like it had been cooked, sat in the fridge for two days then microwaved. My brother ordered fish and chips with chip shop curry. The dinner turned up cold without the curry sauce. The waitress said it would be 30 seconds and it never came. My brother went to chase the sauce and the waitresses were stood chatting so he gave up. My friend ordered the Sunday Burger which was equally bad and came with about 30ml of gravy in a pot. I never write reviews but this was too bad to ignore.
First visit, can say it was a nice clean pub with an outdoor play area for children which I always find is a bonus!!! The meals were hot and nice, the staff were friendly and I really enjoyed my visit. Will be returning.
Food was good 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £20 real bargain. Generous portions so you'll not leave hungry. Great outside play area for the kids. Met up with friends here the night before a wedding atmosphere was good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The place is clean and tidy.
Changed hands since I last visited. While people friendly had to send my steak back ad I couldn't cut it. Too gresilly. No fuss they just changed it
