About us

Millers Barn Nottingham restaurant Beefeater

Look forward to a warm welcome with us at Millers Barn Beefeater, where you’ll always find friendly service and superb food and drink. We’re a Beefeater steakhouse, so top quality steaks grilled to perfection are our specialty, but we also serve all your pub favourites and delicious light bites if you’re in a rush.

Our team

Our team go out of their way to make sure that everyone who visits us gets a warm welcome. We pride ourselves on running a restaurant where we love to work – and that means we care about making sure our guests always get the best meals with fast and friendly service.

Our location

We opened our doors in 1995 on the site of what was an old mining and milling site. Back when we first opened, our restaurant had a fully working waterwheel, complete with a miller and mill stones dropping from the ceiling every half an hour. Things have changed a little since then, and while we’re proud of our heritage, the Millers Barn is now a brilliant place for the whole community to come together and relax.

Our restaurant has everything you need to enjoy a delicious meal out, whether you’re planning a family day out or you just fancy some me-time out of the house. We’ve got a chilled-out bar area, booths, a spacious pub garden with benches, parasols and a big play area to keep the kids busy. Our restaurant is fully wheelchair accessible, and we have free Wi-Fi throughout the premises.

Make sure to take a look at our offers page for all our latest deals and promotions.

Why we love Nottingham

Robin Hood is the first thing that comes to mind when most people think about Nottingham, but there’s so much more to see and do near us! Nottingham is famously a great place for a night out, and at the Millers Barn we’re very lucky to be close to so many historic and wonderful sights.

We’ve got the best of both worlds at the Millers Barn, we’re far enough out of the centre of the city to enjoy some peace and quiet, but we’re only a 15-minute tram ride or 10-minute drive to the heart of Nottingham where you’ll find shopping centres like the Victoria Centre or the Exchange.

After you’ve enjoyed a delicious meal with us, we recommend a trip to Nottingham Castle and the National Justice Museum, which is based in the city’s former courts and county gaol – where a certain Sheriff of Nottingham may or may not have held court. And we’re only scratching the surface, it’s places like the City of Caves, Nottingham Arboretum and Highfields Park that make Nottingham such a fantastic city to explore.

I've had a 4 night stay in the adjoining premier inn.. and I've had the set menu whilst staying there and from the moment I've walked into the restaurant whether it was for my breakfast or dinner the staff have been brilliant .. so friendly .. asking about allergies.. going through the bill when I've not understood charges ( just me being a dumbo) or dealing wonderfully with a fussy grandchild that stayed over with me for one of the nights.. the food everyday has been fantastic... and cooked to perfection. I will be coming back to the same hotel to stay again and I hope the establishment will be here with the same friendly and lovely staff. Keep up the good work guys ...

Used this place a few times on our two night stay. Regarding the breakfast in the morning, first morning was table service which was quick and prompt. Second morning was buffet and the manager was rude when we arrived, the lady who showed us to our seat did not mention it was buffet so was sat waiting for someone who was never going to come. Whilst waiting in a crowd at the buffet for the food, one staff member commented ‘this is what happens when you cut back key staff’. It’s not great when you’re paying £20 for 2 people for breakfast. In the evening, the bar closed both times at 10pm and which was a real surprise given it was Friday and Saturday night. There was a number of people who were turned away. Whether this is dictated by head office or the site manager, just all seems a bit lazy. Yes staff will be busier with less colleagues but being rude and not communicating is nothing to do with less staff. It feels like the beefeater lets the experience of this premier inn down.

We ate here this evening, the lady working (on her own) running all the tables was an absolute star. No one had to wait too long to be served. Even though she was alone , food came out fast and was hot. The food got 4 stars because the starters we had were nice (cheesy potato dippers and breaded mushrooms) absolutely spot on we enjoyed them, the mains burger and I had gammon. The 1 star reduction was because my peas were like bullets, overcooked, and tasteless . All round a pleasant experience though

Food is better than average compared with other branches but service is poor.

Been to many restaurants attached to Premier Inns, and Millers Barn is by far the best I have stayed at, good service, decent prices, in the current climate and well presented great tasting food!! Will definitely be back when were up this way again.
