The White Swan is one of the oldest and more traditional watering holes in Morpeth. Paul and Mark have run the pub for the last 5 and a half years; although they have sought to inject some of their personalities and interests into the pub (particularly their passion for golf) the pub has retained the character and the history of the pub.
Its regulars and new customers enjoy warm hospitality,friendly staff and can relax in comfortable surrounds. The White Swan has established a reputation for hosting live music varying from the highly entertaining Skatoons and Slease Sisters to the American rockers the Poor Boys then more contemporary bands as the Zoos and FMs.
The upstairs Lounge offers a sophisticated contrast to the traditional downstairs bar. The Cygnet Lounge offers the perfect setting for our customers to enjoy cocktails, good wines and relaxed conversation. The room offers the perfect venue for functions, an ideal starting point for hen and birthday celebrations as well as a meeting room for various organisations and groups.
The pub offers a wide variety of spirits, bottles as well as draught beers including real ales (guest and resident).

Good place for football. Especially NUFC. Arrive early to get a seat.
It's a pub of the old style of which there are getting to be fewer and fewer of.
I have only been here twice. My first time was to play a gig as a deputy with a well known local Ska outfit several years ago, and the second was this evening. I fired in two quick Smith's around teatime. At £2.70 a throw, coming from Toon, I thought that was awesome. Good drinkers vibe in there it is. No kids, no Babysham which is absolutely spot on. There's a few decent TVs showing sports and MTV type stuff and the wireless wasn't too loud blurting out the dukebox selection. Whilst I don't hit Morpeth much ever, I know this will be a go to spot for a good beer if I'm local again.
