Ordered 2 meals. When they arrived after 25 minutes wait parts of the meals were freezing and the rest luke warm. The prices are not cheap either especially for what you get. Not worth the money and would advise to avoid.
Firstly, you must have the toffee crumble. Which was amazing. The Inn was very pleasant and clean. The staff were really helpful and the food was delicious. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending people to stay here.
This is a lovely place to stay. Comfortable beds, nice rooms, bathroom all done out lovely. There is a lift to the first floor. We had one room there and a disabled room on the ground floor. It was spacious in the room and in the bathroom. There was ramp access at the side to get into the hotel. The bar was a good atmosphere in the evening. We had breakfast too and everything was to an excellent standard. The staff were cheerful and helpful. We intend to stay again.
We had lunch here yesterday ( 4 people ) chose food from the Light Bite Menu. Delicious food and good quality. The decor and furnishings in the bar area are beautiful and comfortable. Staff extremely friendly. A lovely atmosphere. We will be returning soon.
Spending five nights in this hotel, en route to a family visit in Tyne and Wear. Free parking for guests located behind the hotel. On entering the front entrance, we spent some time looking for 'Reception', and eventually had to ask. It's at the right hand end of the bar counter, with a small 'Reception' sign on the wall at the back of the bar! Not even a dedicated desk, but the staff are very pleasant and efficiently recorded our arrival. Our decent sized, well equipped room, is located on the first floor, accessed via a lift, or double staircase. King size bed, desk, three chairs, and a small side table. Open hanging space and shelves. Nowhere for luggage storage. Two bedside tables with reading lights. Walk-in shower with two heads, excellent delivery. Breakfasts (part buffet) and lunch served in the bar. Very friendly manager and assistant staff. We may well stay here again on further visits north. Recommended.
