Great pub with an impressive array of beers on tap. Beers very reasonable. It’s rather beautiful inside too!
We had almost an hour to kill before the next train back to Leeds so we stopped in for some gins. This is a big place. I read it was former Victorian tea rooms. This pub is attached to the train station and was packed with people waiting on trains. They had a decent selection of craft beers.
Beautifully restored Victorian former tearoom with a light, airy interior. 20 craft beers, stouts and ciders on tap. Really friendly, attentive staff who work hard to clear tables for a predominantly transient clientele. Tables on the platform area too. Only visited for drinks on this occasion. Definitely worth arriving at the station a little early to enjoy this place.
Superb place for real ales, beers and ciders etc. Loads on tap. Drinks are fresh, served well and service is attentive and friendly. The inside and outside areas are clean and comfortable. Within the railway station.. perfect for train spotting and relaxing! Prices mid range. Fair. Empty glasses regularly cleared. Great atmosphere. Everyone happy. Well worth a visit.
