Visiting on Friday night. Had a few drinks and listened to some karaoke. Bar was OK,tended to be mainly locals. We were visiting Scarborough for weekend. They tended to only relate to other locals. Most people in the pub were older so not a lot of atmosphere
Had dinner here on Friday evening & it was ok. Had the fish and chips and it was definitely not haddock (as we were told), and the chicken and leek pie with mash and selection of greens came with a few green peas and was just a commercial round pie. Very disappointing food but staff were friendly and helpful.
Fantastic Carvery, ideal if your pre-book a table. They have vegetarian options which is a nice touch, piled my plate high and was left satisfied and stuffed. Nice atmosphere and staff too
We stayed here for 3 nights this week. A warm welcome for both us and our little dog Cleo and even help with our case up to the spotlessly clean room with wonderfully comfortable king sized bed. The breakfast was well cooked and filling and the service was good, and we could even bring Cleo into the bar area with us. The Albert also serves evening meals and we had the most delicious lasagne we've ever had. They do some delicious desserts too. There is often entertainment in the bar too, which can be a little loud at times but generally isn't a problem and finishes at reasonable time. There is a small car park at the back. The Albert is near shops and not far from Peasholm park and lovely little winding pathway through a park down to the seafront where there are cafes etc and the open top bus. We had a great stay. We'll definitely be coming back here.
We went for Sunday lunch. Best Sunday lunch we've ever had Staff are friendly and set us up in the beer garden. The beer garden is absolutely beautiful. Love it.
