Opened up as a friendly Broadland local with a great food and drink offering. Plenty of seating to choose from, inside the cozy bar, in the restaurant or outside to enjoy waterside alfresco dining or drinks in beautiful surroundings, right up to the water's edge at The Rivergarden!.

We hosted a 25th birthday party at the Rivergarden this weekend in the Function Room. This was a really great space with large tables we could use for boardgames, a large TV with netflix and prime video as well as a music system in the room. The space was also easily adaptable with areas to pin up birthday banners and a backdrop for photos. The toilets were just down the stairs to the room (you don't have to go through the bar to get to them which was great for us as were were dressed in cowboy costumes), the bar is also just downstairs with reasonably priced drinks and excellent food which was delivered to us in the Function Room. The Function Room has it's own external access which made it easy to bring everything into the room and made it feel like a really private event. The organisation/booking was quick and easy with the owners via email and phone who seemed just as excited for us to come and use the space as we were and they allowed us to have Berts Amazing Creatures come along too which was wonderful! I would definitely recommend the Rivergarden as as place to host parties as well as just go for food and drinks!
Many thanks for hosting 10 of us at short notice (instant!) for a meal on 15 Dec 2023, when our booked Christmas meal nearby didn't happen because of evacuation due to a safety issue. Lovely meal, good table and ambiance, staff were great. You saved what could have been a disastrous yearly reunion.. we had a great time 🥰 Definitely be back in the new year !
Popped here on the off chance of some food. Well we weren't disappointed. Lovely lady at the bar, very helpful. Food, Sea Bass was so nice I can't stop thinking about it. Shame we were travelling, I would have happily stayed until last orders. My only regret.... I didn't have dessert, bloomin well will next time though. Thanks Rivergarden, we like you 10/10.
Itd been a while since i visited The River Garden and it hasn't really changed. A nice pub with food, in a spectacular location. The food is standard pub fare but the location is what you come for, great gardens down to the river Staff were great, food was great, wineglass was not very clean. Thanks for a great lunch
Spent 5 days just down the road from this superb pub, food was great as was the service and hospitality from the very genuine and helpful staff. Really recommend a visit to this stunning location.
