We have served the village and surrounding area since at least the 1600’s when we were an important Coaching Inn. The Worlds End is even said to have its own ghost, after the grizzly murder of “Lavina” over 200 years ago in a strange room shut off upstairs that no one dares to enter.
These days we are a family friendly pub serving Home Cooked food using locally sourced produce as much as possible. One of our main suppliers is Keith from the Paddocks Butchery & Deli in the village who delivers fresh meat to us daily.
As well as our fantastic food we also have a great selection of fine ales, Wines & Spirit’s sourced from the renowned Southwold brewery Adnams.
For families we have a fully enclosed garden where the children can appreciate our Adventure Play Area while you relax with a drink & enjoy our award winning Garden.
If you have a special occasion to celebrate or a business function, The Words End is the perfect venue. We can cater for any choice of menu, from buffets to a full sit down Meal.

We went to the Worlds End as it advertised a Sunday carvery, however there was no carvery on offer. Instead we got a fairly mediocre roast on a too small plate so much so that items fell off the edge. No choice of vegetables either. So in all a below par experience
My favourite pub. Lovely people. Parking is easy. Food is good value. Garden is the best around. Peaceful customers. Very family and dog friendly in the garden. Playing area for kids. The perfect family pub, but large enough that each family has space. A place you can safely take friends in the knowledge that you won’t be disappointed or stung in the wallet.
We had a meal (4 people).Service was very good. Food was really good. A varied menu,all excellent, and good prices.
Been here for food the last 2 nights and both times the meal has been excellent. Family of four & our dog. Very friendly, service is also great.
Nice evening with friends, typical village pub, good food good atmosphere and a lovely garden for the kids to play in….and the adults. Food was prompt and service was faultless.
