Nipped in after a visit to Hunstanton, hadn't been for at least 10 years, but remembered it as a cosy pub, with great food & excellent selection of wines, gin and whiskey, and I wasn't disappointed. Excellent bar selection, matched by great service in clean and cosy surroundings. Free WiFi available. Well worth a visit, we will definately be returning
Went for a family dinner last night at The Ship Hotel. Unfortunately our evening was ruined by some of the blandest food and rushed service. The Korean Burger which was basically a chicken breast, some lettuce and a small bit of sauce came in at a whooping £19.50! It wasn’t only tasteless but a ridiculous amount of money for a burger van quality burger. Next was the King Prawn Chilli Linguine, which was basically pasta, sauce and if you were lucky enough to find a prawn in there, a mountain of salt and pepper was required to get any taste or sensation. Will definitely not be returning as the price doesn’t represent anywhere near the quality of the food.
Went for Sunday lunch after a walk. Very cosy location. Food was of good quality although some in our party felt the roast dinner could have been a bit hotter. My casserole was spot-on though. Friendly staff and special gingerbread espresso and mince pies added to the occasion. Very nice.
Went here as a party of 3 (plus our dog) for dinner Sunday night. We had a great roast beef, roast pork belly and a sweet potato salad. All the food was excellent. Good size portions and good quality ingredients. Service was fantastic, lovely evening out.
My friend and I had a fantastic lunch at the Ship Hotel with a doggy companion. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by friendly and welcoming staff who were attentive to our needs. There was a wide choice of food on offer. We chose the chef's bred as an appetiser whilst we waited and then had the Ship's burger and Chicken Terriyaki burger. These were very tasty and of substantial size, with a generous side of fries. We opted for the Spiced apple and sticky toffee desserts which were delicious! Highly recommend!
