Located in the shadow of Arundel Castle, The Norfolk Arms Hotel is anything but old – with its newly refurbished restaurant and bars, offering you a quintessentially wonderful place to eat, drink and stay.
Situated at the iconic Norfolk Arms Hotel, the newly rebranded Castle Restaurant is the perfect place to dine in Arundel.
Open to hotel guests and local diners, The Castle Restaurant is ideal for any occasion, whether that’s a delicious evening meal or a lunchtime snack.
Stayed here a couple of times while working away. First time had a single room on the second floor at the front of the hotel. Bed was lovely and comfy, however, the front rooms have wafer thin windows and you can hear everything in the street outside including every delivery lorry at 5am! Second time I had a huge room on the third floor out the back of the hotel, peace and quiet all night. Fabulous room for £90!
This is a lovely old hotel in a convenient location in Arundel. Our room was clean, comfortable and very cosy. The bed was very comfortable and pleasant lighting. There's a facility on the TV to cast programmes from your phone which was useful. We didn't use any of the dining facilities as we wanted to try out restaurants in Arundel.
What a Gem. I booked fairly late and had no idea what to expect. The Norfolk Arms is in the middle on this most historic and beautiful market town. With medieval castle and Cathedral to explore, the Norfolk Arms couldn't be better situated. I enjoyed a fabulous dinner (the cod is highly recommended), followed by a comfortable night in a clean and well apportioned room. Breakfast, in the most fabulous room, was delicious. Many thanks to all the kind staff who looked after us so well.
Popped in for early dinner and were really impressed with the food in the restaurant. Absolutely gorgeous onion and sage soup, pickled cucumber with the salmon and crab. Great bread baked on the premises. Friendly service. Formal enough to feel special and warm friendly service. We will be back!
Oct 23. We enjoyed our stay here. It's a quirky inn / hotel with rooms and food that match the price, that is, nothing to complain about but not outstanding. Our room had stone (cement?) window surrounds and windows divided into squares with lead. Very much a period piece. The bathroom was, luckily, up-to-date. Furnishings in character, dark wood desk and a similar colour modern wardrobe. The business is clearly in entrepreneurial hands with a variety of styles of bar and a lot of space for outdoor dining at peak times of year. The historic information on the walls is interesting. Will most probably return here.
