WELCOME TO THE NOOK BREWHOUSE

For Rooms at the Nook bookings please visit here

Located in the heart of the picturesque Pennine town of Holmfirth, our brewery tap, originally know as the Rose and Crown, is affectionately called The Nook by all those who know it and frequent it regularly.

Owned and run by the Roberts family for two generations The Nook has been serving the people of Holmfirth and beyond quality ales in fine condition for over 50 years. We are proud to say our dedication to great ale has earned us a place in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide for more than 35 of those years.

in 2009 we revived a local brewing tradition by building the Nook Brewhouse on a site to the rear of the Nook where a previous brewery dating from 1754 once stood. DSCF0124

The Nook Brewhouse produces award-winning ales with Yorkshire Character, inspired by the Yorkshire Characters that can be found enjoying our beers in The Nook. Our range of ales offers something for everybody

……..but don’t worry you don’t have to be from Yorkshire to enjoy them too.

A lovely old style yet quirky pub. Full of character and from our experience,a very popular place for a Friday night pint. There is an open fire and as many seats as can be fit in. A pool table and music. Dogs are welcome and this definitely added to the great atmosphere. I really enjoyed our visit.

Ideal for pre-gig drinks. Great banter with barman! Interesting mix of drinks.

Still as good as it's always been with a good mix of people. Definitely a drinkers pub. I remember meeting my wife here on a blond date. Over 35yeaes later it is still a pub with charm and a special sort of rustic char. Maybe not a place to have a date but I would have to disagree, it's the people you are with, not the venue. Go there and enjoy yourself/best with rustic charm. The bedrooms are small but the sound of the river below is nothing but relaxing and wonderful representation of the idyllic countryside.

Quaint little pub with old fashioned character, some great local brewed beers. Great duke box
