Our stay at the New Inn was very nice, the room was a good size and warm. The welcome we received was also very good. We ate in the restaurant and the food and service were exceptional. The only criticism for us would be the location of the room, which was directly above the bar and the noise went on quite late, but it is a pub after all so I guess some noise should be expected. If we were to book again I would try and request a different room, maybe one not directly above the bar. All in all a nice stop over and I would definitely recommend.
Went for dinner Friday 12th Jan on recommendation from a friend. Food was superb and service good. For the standard of cooking the prices were excellent and everything was well presented and portions ample. Between the three of us we had a good mixture of dishes from Fish and Chips to roast Partridge and couldn't find a fault. The Scotch Egg starter was, to me, a particular highlight. Crispy crumb lovely pork shel and a beautifully soft Egg. Will definitely go again. The shame was that it wasn't busier as it certainly deserves to be.
Spent a lovely night here. The room was perfect and had everything we needed. The meals in the restaurant are spot on! The scotch egg was THE best thing I've eaten in years! Amazing!
Another fantastic family meal at The New Inn. We’ve had the Sunday lunch and we’ve eaten off of the standard main menu, never had a single issue and the food is just beautiful. The team are all so friendly and make us feel very welcome, even with a small child. The rooms are all gorgeous and I seriously seriously appreciate having a well maintained, clean and spacious baby changing area!
Fabulous stay and sleep at this friendly, clean, and quaint Inn. The service was the best and the food is of quality. Food could be brought out quicker, but what you get will be amazing. The room is lovely and everything you need is there. The location is great with parking and plenty of outdoor space to wander. Comfortable bed and bedding. Highly recommended and would definitely return.
