We stumbled upon this beautiful cosy pub on a road trip home and we were absolutely blown away. Log burning fire, Chris the Landlord was an incredible host! He actually served us dinner early as the pub wasn’t busy… and what a dinner it was! Highly, highly recommend the home made pie. We can both honestly say it was the best pub dinner either of us have had. Dog friendly and board games too! Thank you!!

Exceptional Dining Experience at The New Inn ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My friends and I recently dined at The New Inn, and we were absolutely blown away by the superb food and service we encountered. Alice, who attended to us, was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and well-versed with the menu, ensuring we had a truly memorable evening. I think the chef was called Lorraine - she was brilliant. The dishes we sampled were simply exquisite. The Seabass was cooked to perfection and presented with finesse, boasting a harmonious blend of flavours that left us wanting more. We were also thrilled by the Pan Fried Monkfish tails on crushed new potatoes, which were so tender and flavoursome that we could hardly believe we were enjoying such a fine dining experience in a village pub. The atmosphere at The New Inn was electric, with a buzzing energy that created a warm and convivial ambience. We were so chuffed we took the time to discover this hidden gem, as it far exceeded our expectations and transformed a simple night out into an unforgettable experience. If you're ever in the area, don't miss the chance to visit The New Inn. It's a shining example of how extraordinary food, exceptional service, and a lively atmosphere can come together to create a remarkable dining experience. We will most certainly be returning soon to indulge in more of their culinary delights!

I really liked this pub. The pie I had was great. It has that local pub feel and noise to it. You know the noise, the one of people laughing with friends and family from the village. It makes it a real pub. And not unwelcoming either, actually they were really welcoming, chatty and kind. I think the veg with the pie could have been a bit less cooked, but that's only a tiny critique. Otherwise, I could see myself growing old in this pub with good friends, food and ciders.

We're going back there asap. Really pleasant experience, excellent service. Quintessential British village pub serving home made food. OK been back a few times for midweek lunch since. Just had a really wonderful family Sunday lunch (10 persons) as a belated mother's Day celebration, post restrictions; what a dream afternoon with the friendly staff and villagers & excellent food. Well pleased and highly recommended. Sun shining, what a terrific very English afternoon in the beer garden, July 2022.

Fantastic food very well presented, friendly staff and great price. Would definitely go again when we are in the area. Very jealous of the local who can visit whenever they like. If your looking for proper Home cooked food this is the place to go. Great dessert if you have room. Thanks From the Wells from Cornwall.
