Whatever your reason for joining us - a drink with friends, some delicious food in our bistro or outside terrace, a bed for the night or a boat-trip on the canal - we can assure you of a warm welcome from staff who care.
We grow and rear much of our own produce, and our Head Chef Ben and our Gardener Charlie work together to put the freshest food on your plate - often the same day it was picked. Our walled garden produces the freshest seasonal fruit and vegetables throughout the year. We breed our own saddleback pigs, who live outside in the fresh air - a happy pig produces the tastiest pork.
A unique part of the Bridge Inn business is our 2 restaurant barges. These have been a regular sight on the Union Canal for the past 30 years.
The barges both have a full kitchen team on board and having lunch, afternoon tea or dinner on board is a truly memorable experience. Our regular weekend cruises sail peacefully along the Union Canal to the Almondell Aqueduct over the River Almond where you can admire the views before returning by barge to the Bridge Inn.

Each of our 4 bedrooms have been individually designed with a traditional feel but modern touches. Every bedroom has views of the Union Canal and the surrounding countryside.
All the rooms have en-suite bathrooms, complimentary Au Lait Scottish Fine Soap products, and Egyptian cotton bed linen.
The rooms have flat screen TV's, free wi-fi, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryers.

Stayed here in Nov' 23. Very welcoming and friendly. Great food and rooms are very comfortable. A pleasure to find somewhere that is not just another chain that has character and everyone was so helpful.
Spacious restaurant. Family friendly and dog friendly. They have one room where dogs aren't allowed. Sunday roast was okay. I enjoyed more bangers and mash. Desserts are bit disappointing. Staff friendly and attentive. Had some issue with my meal but they resolved problem immediately. Very nice and kind manager.
Very nice pub with live music. Absolutely gorgeous food. Top class service, priced very reasonable. We went on Christmas Eve and it was a great experience as family. Will definitely go there again when in Scotland.
We popped in for a late dinner and was very pleasantly surprised - this is not your ordinary Scottish pub. Every meal is beautifully presented, the Venison was like a painting! And it tastes even better! Cooked and seasoned to perfection! Add to that a great atmosphere and supernice, welcoming and professional personnel. This is a must visit when close to Edinburgh! Do not miss!! Too bad we discovered it at the end of our Scotland visit or we would have come several times! All the best from the Swedish family.
This review is for the restaurant only. Absolutely amazing food! We all had the flat iron steak, it was very tasty and cooked perfectly, the best steak we've had for a long time. We chose to add some onion rings and seasonal veg and these were cooked to perfection too! Enjoyed it so much we are planning to come back again tonight. Staff very helpful and attentive. Would 100% recommend.
