On the main route into Southport and just two miles from the seafront, The Richmond is a spacious, family friendly pub with something for everyone. We even have a dog-friendly bar area where your pooch is more than welcome.
Recommended in the Good Pub Guide, you’ll find a great range of food on our main menu and grill, plus freshly baked pizza from our pizza station and a Sunday Carvery. You can also get breakfast at the pub every day from 9am. At the bar there’s award-winning Joseph Holt ales and lagers, craft products, a specialist gin and rum menu, coffees and teas.
Come along every Thursday for our pub quiz, starting around 9pm. At the back of the pub there’s a large function room and dining area available for free private hire. There’s a large beer garden at the back and spanning veranda to the front giving you a touch of the nearby seaside. Please note, we no longer show Sky Sports and BT Sports.

Average chain pub, nothing special, toilets are clean and they do have wheel chair access. Pints are not the standard brand and staff aren't the most welcoming. Nice outdoor seating however. Food average.
We booked the Richmond for a funeral wake and the whole experience made a difficult time much easier. Good range of buffet choices, dedicated function room with private garden and pleasant welcoming service. Also have to note the excellent communications with the managers about other groups who would be there at the same time. Good food and range of drinks. Recommended.
Today we have been and had a great time with the kids end of summer party, the kids got to play and enjoy the party and we got to have a relaxing time with amazing food and drink. The staff were brilliant in all areas, our daughter has learning needs and the 2 lady's running the party were more than accommodating with her. So worth it thank you very much
Went for a meal with my sister around 3pm today and we were delighted with everything! The place was spotless! Comfortable chairs, lovely staff, food was gorgeous! Emma was so welcoming. We will definitely be going back soon
Very nice place to visit for food. Very clean and friendly. Service was excellent for the most part. Nice interior and the beer garden was well kept and tidy with plenty of tables and also little kiosks that would be great in the summer time! I had lunch there. £16 for two courses. The duck starter was absolutley amazing! And had a hanging kebab, lamb kofta. Came with chips and salad plus roast peppers and red onion on the kebab. Very, very tasty. Shared a choc fudge cake and custard for dessert. That was very nice too! Top marks all round!
