Great vibe with live music (Pat & The Butchers) on a Sunday night. Lovely outdoor space and area. Bar staff busy and friendly. Just keep an eye on folk pushing in when busy and all play nicely at the bar. SEP23- Same vibe and bar! 10th anniv and 4 bands on a Sunday fun

Was here for my brother's birthday. The pub has a good outdoor space which features local bands - we were here to see "Joy Rider" who were fantastic. Bar staff were really nice, but they don't do food above and beyond crisps and nuts, but have no problem with you bringing food in.

This review is not my most objective. This was my local pub when I was at the college opposite, aged 17. It was where I met my wife who was working behind the bar. This visit was to meet up with friends who also went to the college and with whom I travelled in Greece and Israel more than 40 years ago. The character of the pub is lttle changed. It is a small local pub that is comfortably basic, friendly, and welcoming. The major change over the years has been the transformation of the car park to a covered seating area that is surprisingly nice to spend a lunchtime with friends. The seating is comfortable, and we had table service for food and drinks orders. The person serving us was friendly, helpful, and patient, with us asking her to take photos. The prices were reasonable, but the food was bought in and unimpressive. I would recommend giving the loaded nachos a miss.

Definitely my favourite pub in St Albans. Had a wonderful time at a party here. Fantastic pub, brilliant outdoor space and great beer/cider on tap. Grace and the the team couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating.

Traditional pub on Hatfield Road. A little quieter than the pubs right in the City Centre but lots of ‘regulars’ plus some passing trade. Great selection of real ales, changing regularly. Also great pie selection!!! Plus other home cooked pub fair. Friendly staff and customers - would be very easy to become a regular here!
