Friendly and warm local pub. We stayed overnight in a spacious well appointed room, you could not fault the comfort and cleanliness, abundance of tea, coffee, and spring water. The en suite was spotless and the room was silently air conditioned. After an evening meal from a 'cant decide what to choose' menu which was cooked so the flavours grabbed your tastebuds we retired to a bed which hugged you as you drifted away. Strongly recommend a stay over but if you dont have the time definitely book a meal and spoil yourselves.
I have just spoken to my 92 year old father, who was booked in for Christmas dinner with yourselves. Unfortunately he fell ill and was unable to attend, fair enough you charged him £135 but to charge a 10% service charge as well is below the belt. Hope you have a happy new year 🤬
Beautiful roast dinner in a well converted pub, that blends modern and traditional style. Open fires are always a lovely way to enjoy the winter months here, and the pub and village are dog friendly if you want to bring your pooch along.
As a vegan the Christmas dinner is extremely poor. Either the chef has no idea or doesn't care - effectively 3 courses of baby food with stale bread. I went in the dark, the entrance to the establishment is ridiculous. One positive the staff who served us were great
Lovely food, we both had the rump steak burger, and I'd highly recommend. Portion sizes are good and tasted amazing, too. We also thoroughly enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding. We will definitely be back soon!
