Excellent spot for a Sunday roast, I had the pork but the burger also looked great and the beef roast too. Particularly good spot if you've done a run or cycle in Richmond park as its close and easily accessible on foot. We did the Richmond half Marathon before, so the food and warm fire place were an especially welcomed respite from the cold weather.
Lovely pub to go to after a walk in richmond park. Had an excellent lunch! Pie was a highlight! Scotch egg also very good
Great food, the focaccia was lovely. Disappointed by the setup and service. No hot drinks through the app so I went to order at the bar. 20 min later no coffee or tea. I've had to go into the kitchen to check and no order was found. I've informed them what my order was and they've brought 2 x coffees. We kept the one we did not order instead of the tea as this took 40 min to arrive.
This was such a lovely place. The waiter seated us in a back room within view of the garden (which I was thankful for as the entrance part of the pub had an odd smell, hence the loss of the star). Where we were seated though, was beautiful, clean, and spacious. Our party ordered the burger, battered haddock and chips and the gammon & egg with chips. All three meals were absolutely perfect. The fish was cooked to absolute perfection, the burger was full of flavour and the chips were fresh and crunchy on the outside, fluffy in the middle. I didnโt leave one bit of food on the plate. They also had Neck Oil IPA on tap which was ๐ค๐ฝ๐๐ฝ. The prices are obviously not โSpoons prices but the food is definitely worth it. Definitely worth a visit after a walk around Richmond Park ๐๐ฝ
Had a lovely Sunday lunch with some neighbours at The Marlborough. Its a large pub with various areas including dining rooms and cosy snugs. The garden is large and looks a great place to hang out in the summer. I tried the vegan roast which was great. Others had fish and chips and the beef. The starters were okay. I suggest going for the mains and a pud. I recommend you book a table because it got busy. It's close to Richmond Park so you can walk off the dinner after!!
