The Marchon was formerly a works social club but is now independently run as a community hall.
The club has a lounge bar; a games room featuring 2 full size snooker tables and a dart board, and a large main hall which is available for hire for any type of function. The main hall can seat up to 250 people. There are bars serving alcoholic and soft drinks in all rooms.
We have a licence to hold sporting activities such as boxing, badminton matches, karate gradings;
parties such as weddings, engagements or christenings;
entertainment including live groups, charity nights, bingo and even clairvoyants!
And as something different - there are also caged bird shows throughout the year.
Not for nothing are we known as the friendly club!.

Our first visit. Big crowd for a band. Made to feel extremely welcome from minute one by staff and regulars. Can't wait to come back!
