I'm so sorry, but this food is absolutely awful. Some of my food was overcooked and I ate a chicken roast dinner, lovely chicken but it doesn't say what's with it and don't ask if you want even gravy or not. They did ask for allergies which was amazing and I'm very thankful for that but In my honest opinion I'm sorry but I really don't recommend this to anyone. I hope you have a nice day and I'm sorry to leave this review I honestly didn't want to but I hope it's better for future people
We stayed at the Manor House as a treat over Xmas, so did not mind paying £352 for the night (treat yourself option). This included a bottle of Prosecco, some chocolates, late check out, breakfast and £40 a head for food. However, this was still a very expensive night away and the room was not as nice as we had expected it to be for this money. We also found payment confusing. Service charge was added when paying on arrival (12.5%) and after dinner, we were brought the bill of £240 (for 4 people) which we then settled in the morning. Staff were very pleasant and the areas lovely, however the food was not great and generally felt overpriced.
I went for a wedding and reception. The location is very good in the quaint town of Moreton, it has a good sized outdoor space and garden. There is good parking at the back as well. The hotel did the wedding and reception very well and the service was excellent. The staff looked after us well and the food was very good. The rooms for the wedding and reception were decorated nicely, and you are a little away from other parts of the hotel so you feel you have the rooms just for the wedding party.
The staff here were lovely. One of our guests was elderly and not very mobile and the staff were very kind and considerate and attentive. We had 2 evening meals along with breakfast and lunch and I couldn't fault the food or service. The only downside was we had a double room at the top and the water pressure was very low. Others in our party were in the accessible room on the ground floor with fantastic shower perfectly suited for those with mobility issues. There were lots of pubs and cafes around if you didn't want to eat at the hotel. There was a cosy library to relax in if you wanted somewhere quiet to sit and read or have some lunch.
Had their afternoon tea for two. Everything was freshly made and delicious. Very friendly staff and superb service. Restaurant and bar area is very clean and tidy. Nice calm and quiet atmosphere amidst well kept garden. Good value for money. Highly recommend! ☕
