Had a private function booked here and was let down badly. No alcohol available other than spirits when we arrived no draught lager and only cheap mixers for the spirits. A staff member went to the local supermarket to purchase bottles of lager and no where near enough for the 50+ guests arriving. A family member had to go buy more and they still sold out. I had to clean the toilets on arrival and no soap was available. Half a roll of toilet paper available. The staff were excellent and the only saving grace of the evening. We had to use toilet at venue opposite in the arcade and management turned nasty when drinks were purchased there as they didn't stock decent mixers in the bar. We moved our event to tailors bar opposite by 1030 due to management attitude and lack of drinks. For an event that was booked over 6 months in advance this was a disgrace and could have been avoided if the management had been better. As a bar that advertises as a mental health promoter this did nothing but make mine worse on a day that should have been memorable for other reasons.
No toilet paper and stank of vomit, this was on arrival. My friend had paid for the venue until 1.30am but 2 huge bouncers barged in just after 12 and started pushing people around, telling us the owner wanted us to leave. Disgusting behavior!
I went there last night for a friend farewall. I ordered a double rum and coke. Instead, I received a coca-cola. Surprisingly, the man who served me, was a Manager. I advised him that that was not a double rum with coke. After a couple of minutes of the explanation, he offered an another shot of rum to my glass, however I am confident he didn't add it. I paid the same price for the drink like in other places, but there, at least, I received the drink I paid for. I don't recommend the place. You will find many nice places with the decent drinks and mixers for the same price or even cheaper.
Looks quaint and lovely in an interesting, vibrant part of town, right in the heart of theatre district. A hidden gem. Really enjoyed seeing the start of Better Plays@Better Days on Thursday 21st October. Played to a packed and enthusiastic audience. What a find! Good selection of beers and cocktails. Love the way they are trying to entertain in a variety of ways. Keep up the good work.😊🤩
Love Better days, It's a great little bar with lots going on.There is always something happening here whether it is a quiz night, open mic night or just a catch up between friends, there is always such a great atmosphere in this small coffee house/bar. 100% recommend.
