If you are ever in Edinburgh you have to visit this place. Beautiful bar, excellent Scottish dishes and a friendly and entertaining staff with a lot of humor. Add to that a good selection of beers and whiskys. Cheers from Sweden, they took good care of our group.
Lovely place, cordial and quick service, good food and drinks. The mulled cider was a lifesaver in the chilly November evening. We had the steak and ale pie and the slow cooked pork belly.
Super friendly service and good quality food. Vast variety of drinks. Better book a table for dinner.

The Malt Shovel is one if several pubs in Cockburn Street. It features traditional, dark decor and has a few tables outside. They are on a slope so make sure you don't lean too far back after you've had a few beers. 😅 Good selection of beers and spirits. Service is friendly and efficient.
