My husband and I went as a treat, no kids kind of treat…and I have to say we were really disappointed in the food. The pub itself is nicely decorated, it feels comfortable and the service was very good. I ordered gammon and egg and what I got was a very small piece of gammon which on the bottom was black. I had 9 chips, peas and egg and pineapple. But it was all luke warm and when eating the gammon all I could taste was the chargrilled parts as it was that bad. My husband had a burger and chips which in all honesty was ok. Not hot, but ok. I was going to say something but I didn’t want to put a dampeners on the couple of hours we had.
Brought the family here a couple weeks back and really enjoyed it all..Good atmosphere and the drinks reasonably priced too..food a little pricy for my liking but was very good.Trouble with me is,I cannot justify paying higher prices for eating out nowadays..but the occasional trip is ok.
Breakfast was decent quality with nothing to fault. Coffee from real beans was a surprise. Just a shame it's attached to Premier Inn as it drags it down....
Great food, very friendly staff and brilliant value with some of the offers they have available. They were short staffed on a very busy night, but still managed to do us two courses and a few rounds of drinks in less than 2 hours, and were very apologetic to have been slower than usual. Would recommend!
Ate here twice because I stayed at the premier Inn and got the"meal deal". Which was main, starter and a drink in the evening. And then breakfast the next morning. Food was good and tasty and the plates where warmed. I had a decent enough feed for both sittings as a vegetarian. Staff where lovely, warm and polite on both visits. Will be back
