Amazing pub! Brilliant atmosphere music caters for all and compared to the all pub along Bethnal Green road they’re fairly cheap! Staff are friendly and lovely. Will 100% be returning!!

if you’re not white do not go to this pub, the customers are racist to the core and made us feel so uncomfortable. They had called the owners and said we had tampered with somebody’s scooter outside which was untrue, cctv evidence supported this. Hafsa the manager was lovely though and deserves so much better. Vile pub.

🚇 Bethnal Green 🍺 £4.55 Staropramen ❤️ A down to earth East End boozer. . The Marquis of Cornwallis sits on the corner of Bethnal Green Road and Vallance Road in the heart of Bethnal Green. Getting here is easy, both Bethnal Green Tube & Overground are just a short walk away. A few doors down is the famous E. @pelliccicafe if you fancy a fry up before a crawl of the area. . There has been a pub on this site since 1793. This pub used to be a Truman’s house, if you look around the ground floor you can see Trumans trademark architecture. This pub is now run by @craftunionpubs . . The decor here is traditional with a few contemporary touches. This is a one bar pub with the servery in the centre with the bar laid out in a “U”shape. Throughout the bar is a proper red pub carpet and lots of low level tables and chairs. Around the walls are five TV screens which show live sport and a dartboard if you want to test your arm. . The beer line up was pretty standard with the most exotic beer being Staropramen, so I ordered a pint of that. My pint was decent enough and price point was less than a fiver, I haven’t said that in a while! I couldn’t see any food on offer. . I arrived around 1.30pm and the pub was in full swing. The atmosphere was buzzing with lots of locals in attendance. I stood at the bar to watch the second half of the Everton v Arsenal game and got chatting to a Scottish fella at the bar who was raring up about diving in football, nice enough fella though. The service was good, the lady who served me was welcoming and polite. . @the_marquis_of_cornwallis is a good honest boozer that is well supported by the local community. I really enjoyed the atmosphere here and the fact it’s on a busy high street adds a buzz to the vibe. The beer choice was simple and really good value which was great. A proper East End boozer this, get your arris’ over to E2. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 04.02.23

A fine traditional community hostelry! The Marquis of Cornwall stands proudly on the corner of Bethnal Green Road and Vallance Road. The pub is lovely and very welcoming, nothing fancy and not one for the Real Ale drinkers. However, a fine selection of keg beers, lagers and ciders are waiting for you. Great prices and a good place to have a laugh.

Classic East ender pub. Lovely welcoming stuff, excellent Guinness, some nights there is even a live band! With drums, piano, sax and a cool variety of local music. Mostly from '80 '90 years but really enjoyable rhythm. After stepping inside I was welcomed by a polite lady who asked me what would I prefer to drink. After opting for a classic pint of Guinness had also the chance to pay in cash, not only with the card! Nice old school touch. Found a table nearby a big window, as the place is very spacious and luminous, and enjoyed my drink. The atmosphere was warm and cosy, with the classic abitual folks sitting on the bar, and some others spreading across the different tables available. Crisps, nuts, and a lot of snacks were available upon request, and the familiar feelings spreading around made that pint definitely peculiar. If you will decide to go there do not expect a fancy pub, but if you are looking for a classic folkloric place in which could come in Craig Fairbrass in one of his famous characters... well you got yourself a hell of a place! Access for wheelchair. Cash accepted also. Price very reasonable. Friendly staff and customers.
